Blue screen of death

OK Guy's, I'm seeing a lot of connection issues on the line6 forum and a lot have different issue from the next one. Now I'm NOT having a go at line6, I do realise how difficult it is to make software compatable with everything....but be aware...that when I tried to update my line6 monkey driver (to ver 1.42 I think) as my line6 software does not recognise my pod HD500, it finished the downloading task but then sent my PC into the blue screen of death. After finishing checking my hard drive for consistances it re-started windows and went to the microsoft website stating that a device driver was the cause of that message being displayed. I'm using the XP home edition operating system. The reason for this message is to make other users aware that it is the line6 driver that is causing the blue screen of death. I've tried it twice with the same result.

I'm sure line6 are onto the case as I type...Hopfully line6 can sort it soon.

TJ

Yes, the installer ran, then said line6 monkey will need to close for the drivers be installed on your computer. But when I restarted line6 monkey it was saying that there weren't installed? I'm running XP.

update/driver issues

Hi Guys. I'm new to this forum having just purchased a Pod HD500. But I seem to be having a problem installing the drivers for it. I have installed both Line6 Monkey & HD500 Edit. My PC picks up that I have connected the HD500 and then asks for drivers ( I Don't use the PC's method as it can't find any drivers for the HD500 over the internet). Instead I start up Line6 Monkey which indeed tells me that there are drivers to be downloaded (Lastest version 4.2.4.4). I successfully download these onto my PC. But when I restart Line6 Monkey it says my HD500 is not connected and still says I have the SAME drivers to download? As anyone else had this problem or can anyone shed some ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

TJ

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum having just purchased the Pod HD500. But seem to be having issues with registering my HD500. Having downloaded the Line 6 Monkey software to update my Pod, it then prompts me to register my gear. but when I fill in the input fields and press enter it comes up with this error report:

(ESN could not be verified. Please confirm the supplied USN. ( Error: 523).

Does anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong. I am from the UK but have tried on both the UK and US sites but get the same error warning from both sites.

TJ
