(update) i found my issue and im going to get it fixed i am missing the secure memory chip on my new board so what im going to do is replace it with my old one thanks for help line 6

o and if this helps i had to buy a motherboard for the unit cause i droped solder on the ram on my old board trying to solder knobs on it i still got the old board if i need to replace the secure memory chip if you could tell me where that is exactly at i would do it and be more careful with it cause i dont got a whole lot of money to pay for shiping for it to go their and come back and parts and labor. is it behind the midi in is it 8 pins and a black cover on the top

i also did a sram test it passed and the esn show unkown when i plug it in to the computer and when i get the unit to work i it shows up with 4 diffrent esn number on the pod xt live and also i put it into safe mode b it does a sdram and it says shows up as a little code think OB1DDE9B or it could be 0B1DDE9B and on the bottom it shows sram passed

ok so i pluged it in by midi to usb and after it said updateing software on pod and it was all done came on but tit came up with invalid error code 01any sugestions

(UPDATE)

when you drop down the midi out list click 3 line 6 pod xt live then on the bottom click 3 line 6 pod xt live and click ok then hit update after you highlight the firmware then you will not see usb firmware you only will see the yellow icon on flash memory and on drivers then after its done updateing turn off pod xt live wait a couple of seconds turn it back on and if you still dont see it turn it on and off again until you see the program hope this helps better.

hey i found a solution if your sram isnt done for or if it is. anyways go to the change device button and hit i still cant see my device button. manually click pod xt live on bottom. oh yea and you have to have it connected to the computer by usb to do this even tho it says you connect by midi.ok you will see midi out drop down a list go to the bottom(i cant remember the name) and click the 3 something something and now go to the midi in drop down a list the same one that you clicked before on the bottom it starts with a 3 then click ok and then you will see the yellow icon ONLYON THE FLASH MENMORY then hit update selection the firmware thing on the bottom let it load then when it says turn off pod xt live and turn it back on and if you still dont see the program wait afew seconds and turn it off and on again and keep on doing it until you see the program come up as soon as it comes up disconect the usb cable and if you see the screen half and half of something else or see black rectangle turn it off and on again and until u can see what you are doing on the other half of the screen. this is a simple step without having to send youre unit in to get repaird all tho it does get kind anoying to keep on having to do that hope this helps like i said it dosent work for good im going to try midi cables and do it and will let everyone know on line 6 again how it goes or if it helps my case any this may or may not work for you i have no clue. hope this helps everyone.
