POD Studio UX2 & GuitarPort cross-licensing?

Hi there.

I was an avid GuitarPort user for years, and I have two expansion sets too. I recently bought a brand spanking new UX2 that came with a POD Farm 2. I have both devices authorized, I even got two of my computers authorized. Now the problem is this. I just installed POD Farm 2.55 and it works no problem with UX2 but does not with GuitarPort. How come I was able to install both expansions that I got months before on that same UX2 but I am not authorized to use my GuitarPort with the same account that has both devices authorized and I clearly have a pod farm 2 license. I would really like to use my GuitarPort too because it is darn mobile compared to UX2.

I kinda feel let down now ... the expansion installed smoothly to the UX2 but the POD farm 2 license that works with UX2 doesn't work with GuitarPort. I know GuitarPort users aren't eligible to use POD Farm 2 without seperate license, but I kinda bought that same license with UX2, didn't I?

Thanks!

Re: Sample size keeps dropping to 16-bit

I've just found out additionally, not only cubase/ASIO or changing the bit depth and sample rate manually changes it to 24-bit, but winamp, flash videos etc. does that too. And it stays at 24-bit as well. So now whenever I start pod farm in standalone I have to at least press play in winamp or youtube videos (while guitar port is my defualt sound device of course). If I set my default sound device to my integrated soundchip, only cubase or manually setting it back to 24-bit helps...

I have searched these forums over and over. There were complaints about this. L6 started resolving this issue in 2011!! WTF?? I am in a fact a customer that paid money so you can have salaries and I expect this to be fixed asap

Sample size keeps dropping to 16-bit

Hi!

Lately I have experienced some interesting behaviour from POD Farm@guitarport. I have a guitarport with podfarm 1.12, windows 7 64-bit, updated and legal, I use cubase5 for recording. The windows sound control settings and line6 asio setings are all set to be 24-bit 44100kHz by default. Whenever I run just the podfarm clean it always runs at 16-bit. There are two things that will change this setting back to 24-bit - one is running cubase alongside and the thing just jumps to 24-bit, or either changing the setting in the windows sound control panel to 16-bit, apply it, then reapply the 24-bit again. I must clear myself that ASIO setting for sample rate doesn't change the actual driver's sample rate unless cubase is running.

Whenever I close podfarm and run it again, it drops back to 16-bit, again, unless cubase is running.

This is very annoying to me, I like the sound of 24-bit. Whenever I change the settings described before (or run cubase) I hear a "pop" when audio interface reloads/reinitializes, so it is actually running at lower sample rates.

So my main problem is that my sample rate is 16-bit, altough I have everything set to be 24-bit.

I had no problems before, I know my driver was always running at 24-bit withouth cubase running alongside or fiddling with settings.

I have had two clean L6 family reinstalls but still no luck.

I have latest drivers, only pod farm 1.12, monkey and license manager.

I had previously gearbox 3.72 and podfarm 2.5 trial too, but deleted them.

Thanks!

how to play and record two guitars at once via guitar port(s)
