Ok, I love my PODxt, but if I am travelling, I like using the UX2 because it's only a USB connection and I don't have to worry about connecting a power supply, however, I lose ALL of the "Power Pack" models, and 80% of my custom tones are based on that pack in some form or another. I see that the Power Pack is available for sale for $99, but since I already own it, shouldn't it transfer to the UX2 when I go through the authorization process?

If not, I'll be selling the UX2 as I really have no use for it.

I own a PODxt with all the model packs (FX Junkie, Bass Amps, etc), can I use those with my Toneport UX2

I picked up a used Toneport UX2 from Daddy's Junky Music and really like it, I like it alot. However, it appears as though the model packs do not transfer from one unit to another, even though they are both under my account. Is this accurate? If so, that's pretty cheesy that I have to buy the same model packs twice for 2 different Line6 products that I own. There's no way I am paying to download the same model packs twice. Maybe I am not looking in the right places, but I could not find any information on this.

Any help would be appreciated. If my perception is correct and the licences are product oriented and not user, then I guess I am stuck.

It turns out that one of the other buttons (stomp) was depressed in, and I didn't notice, once I freed that, the tuner button worked perfectly.

When I use the PODxt on it's own, the button for tuning is no longer working. It does work when I am connected to the computer and I use Gearbox to tune it. I doubt my PODxt is covered by warranty anymore, so I am wondering if I have any options at all.

Honestly, sorry, I just haven't had a chance to post again. I'm not sure how those Furman work, can I go from a power strip through that?? Thank you very much for your help.

I think I may have an unwinnable situation here. I get alot of hum whenever I plug in my PODxt to my computer via usb.
I can alleviate these problems by

Removing power from the laptop and having it run on battery power alone (I've tried different outlets and different power strips)

Not using a tone setting with a lot of overdrive

unplug the usb (duh), but that makes recording slightly impossible (I think)

If I touch either pickup (humbucker) the hum goes away

I've done some reading, and appears as though this is a ground loop issue that there isn't a solution for (or one I found)
Granted I am on some heavy meds and my focus isn't the best.
Now this does not happen on all guitars equally

So, does anyone know how I can have my USB and eat it too?

Thanks in advance. Oh yea, I can control the hum with volume as well, but I lose the dirt if I lose the volume.

A power conditioner was recommended to me, but looking at the prices of them, there's no way I can afford one, unless I am looking at the wrong place.

I've tried to tweak and tweak and tweak some more, but I constantly get clipping.

System specs

PODxt - Winxp - Gearbox 3.70.0 - Headphones connected into PODxt, PODxt hooked to computer via USB for Gearbox manipulation of PODxt. If I unplug the PODxt from the computer, I have the same issue, should I use the monkey and update the firmware? I don't know if this is causing any issues when I record, but I am hearing breaks in songs, I suppose that's what the clipping is. I am very new to this, so please be gentle.

And please, I've asked this elsewhere, and I've gotten responses for PODxt live, which I do not have, I have the bean.
