Now it doesnt work. I press the button, it turns red. Then press play and then nothing.

Regarding the SD card - i'm using audacity. However i've also tried playing the files through the m20d itself and still didnt hear anything (i added the file to the playlist, clicked on play and nothing)

I only used the record facilty a couple of times before upgrading firmware and it was a lot easier to use and far more robust.

had the same issue today recording onto an SD card. Recorded using Inputs only (at the time there was only one channel) - levels FOH were fine, good level on the channel indicator.

Then when i loaded up the SD onto my laptop the file didnt have any sound - the file was 220mb. So the m20d is doing something, but there is a serious issue.

I'm also having trouble with the 20second quick capture. It just doesnt work - press the record button and it turns red then doesnt do anything else!!!

I love the desk but the recording functionality is currently pretty poor since the v1.1 firmware update.

Arnie/Dboomer - any comments about the recording capabilities on the desk? Surely there must be some firmware fixes coming very soon.

What are the swan and Thomann cases like? snug fit?

Ideally i'd like to get the rackmount kit, and have it in a pop up flightcase like the one from Dv247 (less chance of someone dropping it!). From what i can tell it just needs a 8u case, but i want to make sure before spending £150!

thanks

He couldnt remember exactly where the individual channels were, but he wasnt pushing any of them. We used it 'out-of-the-box' i.e. didnt change gain levels and i dont think we used the auto trim feature.

We'll be using it again this weekend. I'll start by setting the speakers to 12o'clock and work from there.

As you said i would expect speakers this size, quality (and cost!) to easily manage 150-200 venues.

Choffer

So far Ive used the setup twice - once indoors and once outdoors. Im loving the desk, but not sure about the speakers. The sound is very clear, but its the volume that I'm having trouble with. The indoor event was in a hall with about 80 people and we had to have the speakers up at 3/4 volume! Previously we used a small 160w laney monitor and never had to push it past 1/3. Surely the 1400w speakers should blow the laney out the water on volume!

Whats the general opinion about the overall volume?

Can anyone from line 6 give me some insight?

I love the idea of the speakers (inbuilt mixer, l6link etc) but at the moment it looks like they arent going to be loud enough for us.

thanks
