uh it says 1960 custom with a filter pot. other tele neck is a 1968 thinline.

Without the pot, the 1960 does sound a bit darker in tone, so you may be right about it being a humbucker, but I'm sure the tele neck switches between bodies.

You have no clue how many telecaster variax transplants I've seen, so why not make a tele variax?

If I saw one, I'd invest in one like there's no tomorrow. I'd kill for a maple neck Butterscotch Tele JTV.

Even Dustin Kensrue of Thrice used to have a Variax transplant in a Tele as well until he sold most of his gear after Thrice went on hiatus.

In some ways I like the look of the 600 better than the jtv69. I don't get what's so bad about the guitar build quality of the Variax v1s. I mean yeah it's definitely not the best, but it's pretty great still.

Very nice. I'd love a sunburst 600 but I settled for a black with all the equipment.

I don't use my trem either because a piezo cuts out really badly if I do (I need to get that fixed later)

Well if I can't find any more versions then I guess I'm going to have to live with it for now. Sometimes it bugs me sometimes it doesn't.

300/600 only went back to 3.01.

Maybe it is hardware malfunctioning? I did drop my 600 in the gig bag when the strap decided to break.

I can only find the flash memory, but not the firmware. What do I select for my 600?

Edit: I tried backing and fronting the flash versions to see if that'd help in the meantime. I was confronted by a lovely code error that told me to make sure no midi devices were connected to my variax. I restarted monkey and it says it's back to 3.10 though, and it sounds the same in my DAW. G string is still warbly in detuning.

Can you tell me how to flash to an old version then back to the newest?
