Recording Volume

How do I get a sound that loud enough to record but not blow my ears out in headphones or annoying people in other parts of the house?

I have podfarm, gearbox and riffworks standard.

If I set the volume to whats comfortable and then record it, I can barely hear it when I put it on a cd or play it back.

What am I missing here?

same problem, no sound from pod farm 2.5. looks like i'll be using gearbox until they get this figured out.

I to am having the same problem! Gearbox works fine, but I can't get any sound from Pod Farm 2.50!

The better option would be to buy a pair of powered monitors for listening

Could you possibly recommend speakers and headphones? I'm no musical genius, but I would like them to sound good. Thanks.

So if I buy a UX2, will I only hear it through headphones or will it come out of my speakers like my guitarport?

Now that I have my GuitarPort and POD Farm 2 installed, what should I use to record myself? Reaper? RiffWorks Standard? Which is considered the best?

I have a guitarport and pod farm 2. which program should I be using to record myself.

I also have Gearbox, Rifftracker, and REAPER. are there any programs with drum beats? It helps me work on my riffs.

I recently reinstalled my guitarport and gearbox. when i first switched to windows 7 i removed it because there were no drivers. i use to be able to use riffworks and riffworks 2, can I still do this. monkey tells me propellerhead record is activated. What should I use?
