Condensor Mic causing problems

Hi There,

I just got an Audio Technica AT2035 to use with my spider jam 4. I am running it through a M-Audio Fast Track 2. I'm currently using line outputs and running it to the cd/mp3 in, in order to use it with the amp as phantom power is needed. But, im getting a TON of static when i plug in the fastrack with connected mic into the cd/mp3 and then into the amp (coming from the fastrack). Im wonder what is the poroper route in order to get sound from a condensor to the spider jam? I checked all my levels and they are all good as well as my Db count through the CD because it registers as an mp3 not a mike.

Thanks,

Ben

Major clipping with my Acoustic plugged into the amp

Hello,

Everytime I play my acoustic in my Spider jam i get major clipping when i strum. The only time i dont get clipping is when the tuner for my guitar is on (I use a takamine G series w/built in tuner) and as long as the tuner is on the clipping stops but it only lasts for 1 min and after that the clipping continues, everytime i strum I get a loud abrupt noise and the red light signals. I can still hear my guitar but only if i play quietly. I have checked all my levels on the amp and guitar and they are reasonable so i can count that out. I'm justlooking for some advice or knowledge one could share, or if anyone knows what the problem may be?

Thanks,

Ben

Problem with my Spider Jam 4

Hello,

I have a Spider Jam 4 from 2009 and i'm having problems with the amp right now. The volume on the amp is very off. When i turn the amp model to insane the volume is loud and correct, but as i gradually turn the knob down to clean the volume decreases until it is almost impossible to hear even when the volume is all the way up. It could be a simple fix, but it is bothersome. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also as another question, I use my Acoustic Electric in the amp as well and when I play the guitar is able to get sound but when i strum too hard it clips and makes an abrupt loud noise and then goes back again. It is a Takamine G series guitar, and I have ot a clue what the issue is. Oce again any help in either of these problems is greatly appreciated.

Ben

Popping, Cracking and Static?

Hey, i recently bought the line6 ux2 for recording at home, but when i have my headphones in and enter POD farm i constantly get static, cracking and interference in my headphones. I tried to optimize my computer for recording but i am just wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem may be, the headphones also get the same static and cracking when i am in mixcraft or riffworks etc.... I feel it is probably a simple fix, but i just can't figure it out.

Thanks,

Ben
