I returned the HD the day after. As always line6 never shows up in discussions where their products are critiziced. This was my last line6 product in the HD range, what a piece of crap.

I have also recorded with plenty of different audio interfaces on both pc and mac, but I have never experienced this.

Hey guys

I see that a lot of people had this problem with HD500

I have a POD HD, bought new yesterday. I got home and downloaded the latest drivers and upgraded to the latest firmware on the POD through media monkey.

I then hooked up guitar directly into the pod guitar input and connected my headphones in headphone out.

I have my POD HD connected to my macbook pro with the USB.

When playing through the POD HD in sounds great, however, after I record what I am playing it sounds awful. The recorded riff sounds fizzy, thin sounding and sounds nothing like I hear directly connected to the POD. I have tried to record inn RIFFWORKS, ABLETON live 8

So:

1. what is wrong, why the awful sound? Someone else got this problem?

2. Does it sound better if conencted to either output or spdif into an audio interface?

If nr 2 I see no reason to keep the POD HD

Hi guys. I really cant decide what to buy:

A POD HD500 or a POD HD desktop with fbv shortboard mkii

What I want todo is:

1. Control my effects with pedals (500 obviously got this covered), but if going for desktop can I use the fbv with the POD HD and the cmputer at the same time, or does it only work with one at the time?

2. And at the same time be able to control ableton/logic and with midi learn functions such as start, stop, overdub. Can I assign one or more of the foot controlelrs in the hd500 todo this?

3. Use nr 2 at the same time I can stomp on and off effects from either the pod HD, or computer based software such as amplitube/guitar rig
