does PF 2.5 as plug-in without line 6 device internally upsample?

Hello,

I am running podfarm 2.53 as a plug in without line 6 hardware. My project sample rate is 88.2 and i am recording all tracks dry. Does pod farm 2.5 upsample or internally sample rate convert to the higher sample rate without line 6 hardware? I read the manual and it seems that with line 6 hardware, SRC is supported. But as a standalone plugin, not so clear.

Anybody know?

Two PF2 licenses on 1 machine - install and general use question

I currently have PF2.53 (as well as add on packs) installed (win7 laptop) tied to UX2. Works fine standalone and as plugin/elements in reaper but sometimes gets glitchy when UX2 is used as a dongle as when using my main interface (fast track ultra 8r). No problem with my daw when i pull the ux2 off the computer.

I would like to add a standard PF2.53 license (no iLOK, just software) ($99), remove the UX2, and not do a reinstall of 2.53. That way, i can use the PF2.53 and addons without UX2, but can also occasionally plug in UX2 as the interface.

Question: If i buy another PF2.53 license as a standard license, can i do this? Do i just install the new standard license, remove the UX2,and avoid a whole 2.53 reinstall? If I stick the UX2 on the laptop as the main (only) interface (e.g., when traveling), does the license monkey just switch to the UX2 license? I know the add-ons don't need a reinstall, but has anybody installed two licenses of PF2 on the same machine? Thanks - FP65

Hi,

Is it possible to associate the podfarm 2 license with two devices (my GX and my UX2?). Podfarm 1 is associated with both devices as is the fx add on packs, but only the UX2 shows the option for podfarm2 in the license manager.

I bought the GX back in 2009, so i don't think i got the free podfarm 2 upgrade on the GX. But I subsequentl bought the UX2 and i thought perhaps i could associate podfarm 2 with both to have the flexibility on the interfaces.

Any experience with this? Thanks

Hi,

Just forgot to ask something simple. Currently all my licenses (PF1, PF2) are associated with my UX2 and my UX2 is the only device connected to my computer. To make use of the cheaper add-on price offered for the GX for the add on, even though i don't have to transfer licenses, should i run my computer with just the GX connected, or both GX and UX2?

i prefer to avoid system crashes.

Thanks. It sounds like one of the benefits of owning the gx is that all the add on packs are cheaper than if you do so with the ux series (based on the posted prices).

I will transfer my license from my ux2 to the gx, then purchase the expansion pack, then transfer the whole damn thing back to my ux2.

I have podfarm 1.12 and podfarm 2.02 installed on my old computer. The licenses are currently linked to my UX2 interface (i have an unused GX as well).

I had a near nightmare experience attempting the 2.51 "upgrade" in mid 2011. It didn't go well and I stuck with 2.02.

For my new windows 7 computer, I am thinking of just installing podfarm 2.51 (and praying it works!). I assume that the only reason to reinstall 1.12 would be for some old DAW projects where 1.12 is instantiated on a few tracks. I presume i can reload the PF1.12 presets into 2.51.

Am I missing any advantage to having both versions on a single system? I don't think so but thought i would ask before proceeding directly to podfarm 2.51.

I own both devices. These days I use the UX2 and currently have my PF2.02 and PF1.12 licenses tied to the UX2. I own all the packs except podXT.

Can I buy for $49.99 ?

Thanks for the response. So just to clarify, I couldn't use a 2.51 license tied to my UX2, even if i hang my ux2 on the computer and use my 3rd party interface.

If i did what you suggest and buy the license, does that mean that podfarm 2.51 standalone will "see" my 3rd party interface when I run 2.51 (in the mixer settings view the way i currently see/configure my ux2 for inputs, sample rate, etc)
