USB Connection - Mode Setting

I guess this would be a feature request for a future firmware release.

The issue I'm having is I would like to record direct to my DAW using the USB connection and also mic my amp, sending signals to multiple tracks.

Currently however, the global MODE setting of "COMBO FRONT" also applies to the USB connection, which sounds horrible when recorded, and also sounds horrible on the Amp side when switched to STUDIO/DIRECT.

Here's my question:

Can the HD be setup to send the STUDIO/DIRECT mode through USB by default but then allow the global Mode setting to flow through all other outputs?

I'll do some more troubleshooting this evening or over the weekend and provide an Mp3/Preset.

The patch I was using this last time was very basic, with only Distortion, Digital Delay and Reverb.

I will also try with no FX and see if the problem persists then too.

Looper - Output Overloaded (HD500)

I'm not sure if this is a configuration/setup issue but I thought I would ask just to be sure.

I have an HD500 and while experimenting with the Looper, I am unable to layer a 2nd track without overloading the output.

The sound disappears, woofs and huffs like a compressor (even though no compressor is in the chain), and is unusable in a performance.

Anyone else have (or have experienced) this issue or do I have a malfunctioning POD?
