Thanks for that. Trying to use a midi output from my keyboard into Mixcraft, to drive the digital sounds within. Mixcraft forum told me to just use a midi to usb cable, and go straight into the computer. Regards. Geoff

Hi all, would like to access the presets as pictured in section 3.12 of the manual. Such as "Hotel California" preset. Is there a full list of the available settings that I can look at in the manual, and how are they accessed in the POD UX2? Many thanks for all the help given so far. Regards. Geoff

ux2 effects versus old pod. (red)

Hi all, having got the ux2 working properly, I notice that the majority of the effects are distortion related ones, suited to rock styles. As I am mainly a country style player, I am finding myself spending much time scrolling through the list, stopping on effects, then modifying them to my satisfaction, but then still not entirely happy. I also have the red colour POD unit that I am running into the line inputs on the ux2, and to be honest, I can get a better, cleaner effect that way. As an example, I love the Shadows/ Hank Marvin guitar sound, but have to use the red Pod to get it. Surely the effects in the old Pod should be in the UX2 or be possible to "cook up'' in it. Maybe someone has found the "recipe'' for some good clean sounds, as I am sure, that with all the available combinations, they would be possible. I just dont want to spend all my studio time fiddling to get them. Kind regards. Geoff

Thanks for that, yes, what I would like to do is simply use the send from the Mixcraft channels and route it to the Line 6 ux2, instead of using the vst's in mixcraft. Or import the Line 6 effects into mixcraft maybe? Regards. Geoff

Hi all, is there any way that you can access the effects as in a send and return from a recording program such as Mixcraft. I am recording using the lin 6, and it is great, but at times it is good to be able to try different effects on the dry recorded signal, as is the normal way to record. Maybe it's a long shot, but someone may be able to either confirm my idea, or put a damper on it. Regards. Geoff

Thanks for the reply, yes, I did set up an account, but as I'm not that much on computers, very basic user, I am taking the whole thing to a mate today, where there is a better web connection, and get him to try it. He has the earlier red front model, and is much more able than me. will keep you posted. Regards. Geoff
