I tried making a set list of my patches with path B muted, and so far I am not hearing a difference. I'll see when I get to rehearsal and can play at even better volume. Thanks for the tip.

As for why some patches utlitzed Path B, that's just because they were POD patches that I just transferred to the DT25. I took path B out in my new "mute B" setlist.

This amp sure likes to be loud. I haven't played with LVM too much yet, but even with using full amps in combination with LVM it doesn't have the same kick.

I hope to have some video pretty soon, either of me demoing patches or from a rehearsal from this weekend.

Greetings!

I just got my DT25 last week, and I am amazed by this amp! I've had a POD HD500 for about a year and enjoy it, but connecting it to the DT25 is just a whole other level. This amp is nicely oud! I haven't turned it up beyond 3. I have read this forum for awhile and I was concerned about getting a good tone. I have to say the POD/DT combo worked right away for me. Thank you for your answer. What I am hearing is that I will notice a difference because the DT25 will manipulate the tube settings depending on the HD500 model picke, and that would be noticeably different from the HD500 model going into my Marshall tubes.

I would love to try out a DT25 with my POD, but I can't find a store with a DT25 in it. I am wondering if the difference described is worth the money, and only my ears can tell me that.

DT25 -- two questions

Hi everyone,

I am quite interested in the DT25, and have been following these forums for a while. Here’s two questions I have:

1) I currently run my HD500 into the return section of my Marshall head, setting the POD on Stack Return and using the Marshall as a power amp. Is combining the DT25 with an HD500 basically the same idea? That is, I am using preamp models from the POD to go through tubes at the power amp section. I know obviously there are benefits to the link connection like changing settings on one changes settings on the other, but in terms of sound, am I basically doing the same thing?

2) I have read a lot about people trying to reproduce the 4 DT25 voicings with the POD, but I am wondering how other POD preamps sound through the DT25. What about something like a JCM800, a Plexi, or a PhD Motorway – how well does the integration with the DT25 work with such models?

Cubase doesn't remember Gearbox settings

I use Cubase 5 and the Gearbox plug version 3.7

The plug-in works fine. However, when I open the file at a later time, the Gearbox settings have gone back to default. The plug-in is there, but it's always on "Clean Guitar Tone."

No one in the Cubase forum seems to know what this is about. I was wondering if the problem was with Gearbox.
