JTV-59 pickup change...

Hello everyone,

I'm lovin all the Lne 6 products, and I truly love my JTV59! All except the regular pickups. I have 2 Gibson LP customs and I'm kind of addicted to their sound. I have an extra set of Custom pickups, and I was wondering if I change out the pickups on my jtv59, is it a simple switch out, or is it even doable?

Don't get me wrong, the stock pickups rock, but my ear is spoiled to my other pickups. However, I love the feel of the jtv59 and the modeling capabilities in conjunction with my HD500.

I just got my G30 2 days ago and played it for service today...IT SOUNDED BETTER THAN MY BULLET CABLE!!!

Line 6 never ceases to amaze me. Product after product they are setting the bar to which all others will have to reach high to come near.

I'm using my POD HD 500, my G30 Relay Wireless and my Alpine White Gibson LP Custom, and the sound is heavenly. Next Sunday I'll be using my JTV59 for the first time in service. All I need now is a Line 6 lunchbox, Desk set, and pocket protector! lol.

Thanks for info. Quick question? Is there a unit that works better with the Hd500 and If you were buying, would you go G30 or G50? Reason?

I lead worship at church, and when I was using analog pedals through a tube amp, I had an audio technica wireless pack that worked great for our 600 seat live room. However, since receiving my HD 500 board, I can't use the audio technica without crazy amounts of tone loss. Can anyone give some solid advice in the wireless I should choose? I play through a Gibby LP custom, and a JtV59 Vax. I need a wireless unit fast, but I want to keep my tone as we all do. Cheers....

Out of the gate I was not impressed with the presets, so I began with raw amps and added from there and came up with a few good tones. I'm not into heavy fuzz or metal, but I love a good classic rock tone, and being able to shift to a smooth melodic and harmonic base for my slower songs in the set. I have enjoyed tweaking the Lincoln Brewster patches, but he uses a strat, so I'm almost losing the real feel trying to level it to a Les Paul Custom. Just wondered if you guys could post a few of your best patches for a Les Paul so I could test them out and use them.

Also, We video all of our services, and as I use my HD 500 more, I will post the video links of the different tones used for critique. Thanks everyone. Line 6 community is by far the best and most concerned community I've ever been a part of!!! Great company!!

Hey all, Can you guys send me some links to the best Custom tones for a Gibby LP Custom? I've been used to tube amps, and I'm looking for some great sounding tones to satisfy that tube craving I have, but through my HD 500. Any help appreciated...

looks great. I'll be doing the same....I'm not a fan of the stock tuners on my Korean 59. Having trouble with them. This should do the trick. Thanks for posting pics. Helps remove fears of other tuners.

Ok, I figured the input part out, now my question is, input 1 and input 2? Are they seperate jacks, or I this just a reference digitally?

Help! I'm a Pastor and play rhythm guitar on the worship band. I use primarily Les Paul's, but recently got a Cherry sunburst Variax. On the clean tones, I'm getting the same arc and crack in the tone. A signal peak of sorts, even when I adjust volume levels:

My question to you is can you break down step by step how to set the inputs correctly as you stated? Would be greatly appreciated. I love the HD 500, and have found some amazing tones on the Customtone page, but I need some tweaking to dial it all in.

Also, on my volumes, in the pan setting on a certain tone, do I set the pan at 50% right and the other 50% left or all at 0 in the middle? Help....
