I wonder if Yorkville will replace the transformer with one from a different manufacturer? That would be interesting...

So sorry that you've ended up with the worst case scenario, whiteop. Four blown transformers is ridiculous and a real horror story for present and potential DT owners. I really hope Line 6 is paying attention--this is an opportunity for them to act decisively and emerge the heroes... or, at least, save some face...

I also live in Canada and am dealing with the notorious blown transformer issue. You'd better hope that your Line 6 gear doesn't fail right now, because Line 6 is in the middle of changing distributors/service centres in Canada... which has caused my local store no end of headaches in trying to get my DT50 serviced. Believe it or not, YORKVILLE is now trying to fix it!!! What a mess.

I had been using a Weber Mass Lite 100W since last March (10 months before experiencing issues with the fuse and power transformer). Master between 10-11:00.

IEC fuse (5A) blew on me this week, and a replacement blew immediately, too. Fortunately, I've still got a month left on the warranty... makes me wonder if it's this power transformer issue.

UPDATE: Sure enough, it was the power transformer.

Same thing began happening to me two months ago. Fortunately, I had a month left on my warranty, so I took it in for servicing. Diagnosis: failed power transformer.

+1 This is EXACTLY what I'm afraid of as far as owning my DT-50 long-term. I've only had the power transformer blow once, so far... but why do I feel like it won't be the last time?

I'm a not-so-proud member of this club. After almost of year of regular use, my DT-50 212 started blowing fuses mid-December. It came back from servicing six weeks later, with--you guessed it--a new power transformer. Unfortunately, the amp had also returned with a nasty buzzy hum across all topologies--a problem the music store is trying to resolve to this day. I've been two months without it at this point... frustrating, to say the least!

Had some fun tonight learning how to create MIDI devices in Cubase 6.5. Here's the end result:

It doesn't include every possible parameter, and it runs from within Cubase, but it works like a charm. Like other posters have noted above, it won't read current settings from the DT amp, but it will send them.

I've encountered this issue as well with my HD500. It seems to be very pronounced when I use my Tele, and almost nonexistent when I use my Strat, and, like your experience, it varies from speaker to speaker. I'll do some tests this coming week and see if I can discover anything. Perhaps some extreme high frequencies are present and causing problems? I never encountered anything like this with my X3.
