Pod X3L midi capabilities?

I would like to know if the Pod X3L has the same midi capabilities of the Pod HD 500.I won both but planning to sell one of them & keep the other. Both have great tones & have their pros & cons.I seem to like the X3L more as it sounds good on all systems so far & I am more used to it.I have some midi equipment too that needs a midi pedal & I know the HD 500 does a pretty good job as a midi pedal board .Does the X3L have the same midi capabilities as the HD500?
