I was using your suggestions and just got done downloading the firmware update .....but then I ran Monkey to install the patch and got a notice to update Monkey to a new version (1.38) ....this new version has fixed our original problem. Go Go Line 6!

Thanks for the good work around idea though, Breep. I will definetly remember in case I need it in the future.

Same issue here. I've been trying everything I can think of to fix it for 2 hours now, but I can't figure it out. I've tried it on 2 different computers.

It's fixed now and upgraded....

I opened up Line 6 Monkey and it automatically made a request for me to click the Activate Purchase button under the Optional Add-On tab....

After a few minutes it asked me to turn my Toneport UX8 off and back on...then gave me a Transaction Confirmed popup...

I opened up Sonar and the plugins are working perfectly now.

Thanks Line 6...I knew there was a good reason why this love affair of ours has still been going on so long.

That's good to know, Dalton and thanks. I was wondering if I could upgrade it without a license key if it came down to that. I actually recieved that e-mail earlier this morning also.

I'll probably wait a couple days and see if I can get an official Line 6 confirmation or someone with a free upgrade solution before I purchase it. My intution is just telling me that only having my Toneport UX8 for about 6 weeks and not having a free upgrade seems a little harsh in my opinion.

But Pod Farm 2 looks worth the money for the upgrade if it comes to that.

I believe that post is to primarily to provide people with information that are dealing with licenses.

My Toneport UX8 never had me register with a license. Pod Farm 1 just auto-detected the hardware and provided access to the Pod Farm Platinum functions (with all model packs enabled).

It seems like common sense to me that if I spent $500 to purchase the hardware instead of $40 for an ilok + Pod Farm Plat license, that the same sort of upgrade rules should apply for the UX8. I wasn't in that dire of need for the hardware's functions....the Pod Farm Plat included is what had sold it for me.

a Podxt Live that I still have around (but am trying to sell) did need a Pod Farm license that I had purchased....it ran just like Pod Farm Plat with all the model packs I had purchased previously for it.

I'm not sure what to think though....there is a lot of confusion.

This was the post I came across somewhere else in the forums from a Line 6 guy that led me to thinking there is a free upgrade for me since I purchased mine well after 10/1/2009 (sorry for the sloppy copy/pasting).

Sorry, let me clarify, If you purchased and activated your UX8 BEFORE 10/1 of 2009 then you don't qualify for a free upgrade however, you do qualify for a discounted upgrade price for 30 days. You should get an email with a link to the special offer.

Once I know the prices I'llpost them . Hang tight.

This evening I installed the Pod Farm 2 plug in on my computer and when I loaded it up on a track I am getting this message....

TonePort UX8 Not Authorized

POD Farm 2 detected a TonePort UX8 connected to your computer, but a POD Farm 2 license was not found on the device.

Pod Farm 2 will not process audio.

You must purchase a POD Farm 2 license for your TonePort UX8 at the Line 6 online store.

From what I have been reading in various places, my TonePort UX8 qualifies for a free Pod Farm 2 upgrade since I purchased and registered it around 2/12/2010.

I never purchased a license since Pod Farm Platinum was included in my purchase so it isn't showing a license for me to upgrade....how do I process this to work with my device?
