Maybe I'm not doing it right? Are you supposed to hold down the key before or after you plug it in? And how long are you supposed to hold it for? It doesn't seem to respond no matter what I do.

HD500 Not Powering, Endless Reboot Loop

I've had my HD500 for a few weeks. After using the pedal for a week, one day it suddenly powered off unexpectedly. It then began an endless cycle of powering up and shutting off, sounding like a heartbeat, as the screen flashed and then showed a dark square on the right repeatedly. I tried unplugging it and powering it up again various times and it still continued this cycle. After leaving it for about 20 minutes, I tried plugging it in again and it started working like before.

However, just a few days ago, when I was playing with my HD500, it unexpectedly shut off and went through this cycle again. This time, I was never able to get it to work again. I tried waiting a few hours before trying again and it still didn't work. I then left it overnight and tried again in the morning, again unsuccessful. I then left it alone for four days and just tried it again tonight and it's still stuck in this cycle.

I can't figure out what the problem is. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or has any ideas of what it could be. I don't know if this is a problem with this particular pedal or if it is a common issue with the HD500. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also took a video here of what the screen looks like when the pedal is powered up:
