I am not really familiar with the Send SX or Tascam product. What I found with my Uno and the Midi-OX was that I had to use the midi in from the Uno to the midi in at the M13, which off course leaves the midi out from the Uno going to the Midi out of the M13. I don't know about you, but I had to re-read the Line 6 firmware update sheet a few times and then apply step by step exept when it said to put In to Out. Like I said, I am not great wioth this, but that is what i found. Maybe, if you have done everything correctly according to the sheet you may want to reverse the in and out, as I did. I did keep the delay at 60ms. I made sure I wasn't using a USB hub or USB add-in card.

YMMV but this is what I did.

Just a quick thought. I am still experimenting so don't take this as the holy grail. Say that I have a 4 measure rhythm pattern (lead would be the same) I want to lay down as my baseline track, so to speak. I start by playing the 4 measures without recording. Then on the 1st beat of the 5th measure (you are repeating the 4 measures) I hit the record. Then on the 1st beat of the 9th measure (second time repeating the 4 measure pattern) I turn off the record. Try that. This seems to get the "lag" or "dead air" out of the way and keep the meter pure, for me. Remember to read thoroughly about pre & post since adding a solo with a different effect messed me up when I wanted a clean rhythm and a crunchy distortion for solo the first time I tried the looper. All of a sudden my rythym was distorted as well. Oh well that is why practice is important I guess ;-)

For this to work you would push the looper control/hold for setup button on the farthest right hand side of the board. Then you will see the second from the right displat with Pref-Scenes-FX Lp. Yours may say PRE ALL in the lower right corner. Turn the control knob until it says POST FX2 otherwise you won't get what you are asking for as everythign will go before the OD. The pilot's handbook has information on this as well and might better explain which knobs control what within the settings. If you do not have it you can down load it from here

Well, assuming you are saying you are going to set all scenes in all folders to post FX2;

Using the 4 cable method (4CM);

guitar --> M13 input then M13 FX send to your first overdrive pedal input so that the last pedal in that chain sends its output to the amp input. Then M13 output to amp FX return and amp FX send to M13 FX return.

If you do not use the 4CM then;

guitar --> M13 input then M13 FX send to your first overdrive pedal input so that the last pedal in that chain sends its output to M13 FX return and the M13 output to the amp input.

The smart harmonizor (I have the 2.04 firmware) is in the filters.

Now the other question: If not using the 4 cable method just go guitar --> tube screamer --> M13 input then M13 output to amp input. The simplest for the 4CM would be guitar --> tube screamer --> M13 input then M13 FX send to amp input, M13 output to amp FX return, and then amp FX send to M13 FX return.

I have two expression pedals with my Line 6 M13. They are mounted with the unit on a pedal board and plugged in all the time. What happened to me was that the sweep would not engage to the full 100%. What I found is that I have to unplug the expression pedal cables from the M13 prior to turning it on then plug them back in once it is turned on. That fixed it for now. My firmware version is 2.04.

I have used the 2U gator rack case in the past. I used some upholstry foam placed between the side of the M13 to pad the power cable (not connected just to the side for carrying) which kept the whole thing rather stable. I used a utility knife to carve out a "pocket" in the foam for the power xformer to sit then made sure the power cable ran tothe outside. I used the felcro ties to keep the wires neat. This left me room in the top zipper pouch for the cables. It was a lot of work but I felt it saved me from having grief due to breakage and harsh handling.

Now I use the Pedaltrain 2. Everything is self contained. However, since I use the 4CM I have a little backpack for that. Here is a pic of the PT2 with case.

Note I just uploaded the files. The embedded images went away

Phil is correct about the challanges you face. From a pure math standpoint I would try this. Your FX placement would be the 261ms ahead of the other [for this example it will be in FX3]. So that one would have 2 repeats that diminish in volume almost instantly. Then you set the 391ms to capture those 2 repeats in FX4 setting that delay to only 3 at 100% wet though you could try mixing with the reduction in volume as it trails as well. Hit and miss. I am not sure which ones would NOT be affected by the tap delay if you needed tap delay for FX4 but not FX3.

Next play with the repeats as you can once the volume reduction on FX3 is satisfactory. This makes me want to try this very thing now -
