Good point, I'll try, hope it helps. Another thing which I've been considering is soldering a resistor in guitar's cirquit, but I don't know what resistance value should it have or if the sound will change.

I forgot to attatch the clip...

Here are some files. Firstly I had my guitar tuned to C, today changed strings and tuned to E. I set the guitar and it seems that problem is solved. I hit strings very hard and the level of sound is acceptable. I think the sound had too much bass... Thanks for your help.

What is missing? Hulbert: you can go to the knob up the far top left and this turns down the input.

You know what I actually don't know what's causing the problem. The only thing I know is when I'm playing "softly" recorded signal is ok. When I hit strings hard, this initial level is clipping, what results in one or two cracks in audio. My guess from what you've said is the "hottie&naughty" Seymour Duncan passive TB4... This pickup wasn't initially there, I modified my old cheap guitar. Do you know how to check the impedance?

You know what, I've been thinking abot this for a while. I think that programmers did it on purpose or had little knowlegdge. Every computer has one headphone out and one mic in. The mic in has its own fader and by the default there is an option to boost microphone's sensitivity. Why this solution, which I've seen since windows 2000 didn't come with paid, additional external, as line6 says hi-end card? I'm working on Win7 now and I still se the same window in device explorer for 12 years now... May be the Guitar Rig has what I need.

Thanks. I was wondering may be there is some kind of software lowering the signal wchich I could load in chain between guitar/gx card and ableton. Have You ever seen anything like that? I could route clean signal through this software to ableton and that would do the trick.

The problem isn't the pod farm itself. I get distorted "clean" signal from the imput. I can turn down the volume on my guitar and this "solves" the problem. But this doesn't really solve anything. The sustain is terrible and there is no point in using humbucker pickups with cut signal (less volume). Digital distortion results in cracks. Using vst plugin on material that has cracks is pointless...

Hi.

I don't know how to lower the level of incoming signal. While I'm recording my guitar's body pickup produces so high level of signal that I get digital distortion on every track. To eliminate that I should lower the incoming level, GX doesn't have any gain level knob. Before I bought it I thought that there is a fader in GX driver software, whith which I can set right of incoming signal level. I have tried everything and didn't find any possibility to set this. I'm using Pod Farm as a VST plugin in Ableton. While I'm recording I hear the simulated sound from pod farm, bu the recorded signal is clean guitar. I'd like it to stay that way. There's always a possibility to change the sound by changing pressets in Pod Farm VST plugin. Please help.

Hi.

I can't find any specification of the Ableton Live software. What is the diffarence between Live Lite and Live Lite Line 6 Edition? WillI get the Live Lite (the same which I can download from Ableton's site) equipped with Pod Farm and so on, or Live lacks some additional features in comparison to the downloadable version? Basically, if I would like to upgrade form Lite to Standard license will be there any problem?
