The only thing that PodFarm was doing for me was to connect my UX2 to my Mac. Digital Performer has plenty of plug-ins that do the same thing as PodFarm.

I would think that other DAWs offer similar features.

If you're dedicated to Line6 amps and effects, then you're going to have to wait for them to get their act together and release a new driver.

I decided that $60 was a worthwhile investment to get my studio up and running again.

The Alpha also comes with a Lexicon reverb plug-in but it's designed to work within Cubase.

Doesn't have quite the routing options of the UX2, but there's a cool feature that I like. When you plug an instrument or mic into the front panel, it disables the stereo line-in.

This means that you can record midi, plug in your guitar and record without having to change any assignments (like you did with Line6).

The playback volume with the Alpha is louder than with the UX2 too.

All in all, this is a fine unit. I have no plans to switch back to the UX2 if and when there's a fix.

I bought a Lexicon Alpha (under $60) and it works perfectly.

Obviously the plug and play USB audio interfaces have no problem recording with Mountain Lion. Quote, "we're aware of the problem and are working towards a solution".

No indication of when we might expect an updated driver. Like everyone else, I'm sick of this. I feel like an idiot for upgrading to Mountain Lion. There are so many Mac users out there who are still waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out before they upgrade.

Being a long-time Line 6 user, I remember that this kind of thing has happened before and that it took quite a while to resolve.

So, repeat after me: I will not upgrade to the latest software until I'm sure that it won't screw up my Line 6 stuff!
