How come it works on my laptop? Also on our singers pc it works as well? Surely its just a volume ive not turned up somewhere?

Windows machine running windows 7. If only garageband was available for pc!!

Im just basic recording through audacity.

When i connect the pod to my pc via usb i cant hear what im playing. Strange thing is that when i connect to my laptop i can!!

The sound is there as i can record and see the signal level when playing, also when i play back the recording i can hear it, Just cant hear what im playing as i play it.

Ive checked all the computer settings (windows 7) and they all seem the same as my laptop.

Any advice?

U are meant to purchase a licence (approx $£30) but there is a way around it. When exporting your finished drumtrack just set it to export as separate wav files. This way u can import all seperate files (kick,snare,toms) into your DAW but just leave out the unregistered wav which is a random tom hit. (try it and u will see what i mean

Also forget what people say about Audacity! I have used many different DAW`s and find Audacity by far the easiest to use.

Advice needed quickly about pod xt pro

I have found a good price on a used pod xt pro and may be picking it up this weekend. I need to know:

1. It has all 3 model packs installed. If i register it 2 my account will they still work?

2. I also have a pod xt bean. Can i transfer patches between both units?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an xt bean and an xt pro. Can i download the metal shop pack into both units and only pay once? or would i have to buy the model pack for both devices?

So the x3 bean is too small to have midi ports and too cheap as well?

Funny how the pod xt was cheaper than the x3 and more or less the same size but had midi ports.

Sorry, im not trying 2 sound like a ***** here but its just annoying when the product u need is nearly double the price of the one you could make do with if only line 6 had put midi on the bean.

Most things line 6 seem 2 do nowadays are backwards steps from older products in my opinion!

The only reason i sound arsey about all this is that ive used line 6 gear for years (mostly my pod xt) but when i look to upgrade, the newer products just havent had as much though put into them as the older ones.

When bringing out new products surely the right way 2 go would be to implement all the features of the older versions, and add more features?

Even with the new pod hd range i would have 2 buy the 500 to get midi control when the 300 would be perfect for what i need otherwise!!

Im thinking of buying an X3. I use a midi floorboard to control my pod xt at the moment but have noticed that the X3 bean doesnt have midi ports!

The X3 pro and X3 live do, Any reason for this?

I love the sounds on the X3 but really dont want to spend an extra 200 bucks on an X3 pro just to get the midi ports.

Why havent line 6 put midi on the X3 bean?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a Pod XT which i bought about 10 years ago. Its done about a thousand gigs with me over the years and never gone wrong once.

My 4 month old Spider valve mkii 212 has failed on 3 gigs already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 gigs it just wouldnt turn on

1 gig it decided to reset itself to factory settings mid gig!

And yes, ive tried all updates and resets many times over.

The supplier wont take it back because "there is no demand for second hand spider valves" (his words)

Just reading the forums on here proves its not a giggable amp

When ive saved up for a proper amp im going to video it being thrown off a bridge and stick it on youtube!!
