do you know exactly where to adjust this? I think mine is doing this. If I turn the gain down on the amp it goes away

I have tried that.

It seams to be tied to amp gain... the more I turn up the amp gain...the louder it is. Even with high gain...i thought it should still be quiet.

It also seems to be there only on patches where I am running my effects loop through my ernie ball pedal. Should I be using balanced calbles for that? Is that it possibly?

I received mine a couple months ago...and love it. Check and see what the serial number is so you don;t get one thats been around a year or so. My 2 cents

HD 500 Problem

I have started to get a Humm through the right channel on my HD500. I thought maybe it was due to the amp model that was picked...but I am starting to think it's all the time.

Has anyone else had this issue? I fear sending it in and having it come back with "it is what is" or "unable to duplicate condition"

Any thoughts? My understanding it should be whisper quiet when there is no playing.

When I am using the variax modeling and variax mags at the same time....how do you determine which mags are being used. Hope that makes sense.

Do you disengage the variax and then select which pickups are utilized.....then engage the variax?

i had a couple issues with mine on Tueday.

Ended up removing laptop from docking station and removing everything from a USB's

than I used a normal cat 5 cable I had laying around and it worked fine.

I will try that and get back to you. Maybe it's just doing it on the acoustic models
