Update doesn't work. Is there a list or a thread started already that has settings for custom tones other spiderjamers use? Customtone.com is cool but obviously we cannot utilize it. So if anyone has some great sounding serttings can you let me know.

External. From time to time my external gets cranked. My amp will hiss/fuzz and just get louder and louder then cuts out. The volume on the external seems to be the culprit with mine.

If the cliping (clip) light on when this happens? Is you AUX volume turned way up or down? Too me this sounds like a clip issue.

Is there away in using customtone.com tones with the spider jam? (i have a spider jam 3 and i am just curious). I have the FVB shortboard MkII, so i will try connecting my amp to the board then to my laptop (anyone know if this works or a work around?).

You really don't need a 7 string to play most of Korns songs. You said it sounds muted when you play, which to me doesn't sound like an issue with the amp/effects but more with your guitars setup. I use strings for a 7 string guitar on my 6 string this allows me to use the drop tunings with out having super loose strings. Does you guitar have active or passive pickups?

Whats your tuning? Korn plays in Drop A Slipknot in B I believe cheesey bands like Nickle back still stay in the drop D area System of a down plays in C most of metallics albums they play in E. Play with your tunings, for something as heavy as Korn or Slipknot any distorted settings should sound really close.
