I don't know where that noises came from, but I've foud that some actions ussualy stop them:

- turning of Wi-Fi at home (and in Laptop or PC);

- restarting computer and turning of the TonePort form AC for a while;

- unplug and plug TonePort;

- reinstaling drivers;

I think that very good idea is to make a computer only for recording music. I'm gonna try to build something like: no graphic card and sound card, no internet, no any games and programs, Internet connection, ect in that PC. Just Windows, DAW, TonePort drivers, big hard drive, RAM and integrated graphic card.

UX8 as a PC soundcard, but GearBoxed guitar only in external amp.?

Hello,

I'm using UX8 as a primary soundcard in my laptop. It works great, but i would like to :

mute GEARBOX guitar signal going via USB and heard in PC speakers, and still have GEARBOX on air via UX8 external outs to hear GEARBOX sounded guitar in my external guitar amplification.

In this way I would like to still hear music from PC speakers, but guitar from external guitar amplifier.

I'm using UX8 as a primary soundcard and anyway may record only clear sound, no GEARBOX effects. I hear GEARBOX effects in PC speakers when playing and recording, bot CoolEdit 2.0 records only clear sound (unprocessed). Where is the problem. I was switching 9-10 and 11-12 chanels in Line6 Audio MIDI Device and in GEARBOX and there is no effect. Recording via USB, UX8 as primary record and playback device.

Please help me.

I'using newest Monkey and GearBox. Win XP.

Thank you for your reply. I was very confused about connecting POD via USB and run this topic. There are a lots of similar, so please close this one, or delete. I'm solving different solutions given by other users. Thanks for help, sorry for my english (I'm not a native speaker).

no Pocket POD in Monkey

Dear Sir, there is no Pocket POD in Line 6 Monkey list when running program the first time. I cannot chose my Pocket POD, so how I may instal Pocket POD. Best regards, Marcin.
