Variax interface with HD500

I hope this is an easy question for someone. I can get my HD500 to recognize magnetic pickups versus the piezo models, but I can not get it to recall the correct guitar model. Is there something in set up that is incorrect? It always defaults to whatever the knob on my JTV-59 is set to (but it will turn it on or off). Thoughts? Thanks.

Presets changing

After about a month, I am finally starting to understand how this entire setup works (finally). One thing I am noticing though is that when I turn on the DT25, HD500 and JTV-59, on occasion, it seems like one or more of the settings in the amp setting of the HD 500 get changed (it typically seems to be the bass or another eq setting). I'm not touching any of the knobs on the amp, so I would expect the preset to pull up the settings from the last saved version of the preset. Am I missing something?

I'm having issues getting the HD500 to remember my Variax settings. I've set Input 1 to Variax and input 2 to guitar. I then go into the patch, set the guitar to the model I want and save. When I come back to the patch using the magnetic pickups, the button on the guitar lights showing that it realizes that it should be using the piezo, but it does not go to the correct guitar model. Am I doing something incorrectly in the setup?

I just purchased the dream rig (JTV-59, DT-25 and HD 500). I have the Variax going into the HD500 and I am using the L6 link going from the HD500 into the DT25. When I change the volume on the amp, it does not seem to changing the volume that is saved to the HD500. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong? The second I change to another patch, it seems to stay at the same volume. Thanks.
