It appears from looking at the Line6 configuration utility show 7 different input possibilities - Mic1, Line1, Line2, Line1&2, Line Stereo, Instrument, and Imstrument and Mic1. The only combinations appear to be using the Mic and Instrument, or both LINE INs as stereo. Different that what the guy that sold the UX1 to me at Best Buy claimed (that any/all combinations were usable simultaneously). Sounds like I need a small mixer to do what I want cinsidering the input limitations of the UX1. Any suggestions on possible ways to rig it up to use 2 microphones to record a live band?

Cant use LINE inputs at the same time as MIC or INSTRUMENT inputs? What's the sense of having them? Can I use the MIC input at the same time as the INSTRUMENT input? What's the purpose of the LINE inputs?

I have a UX1, and a Shure PG57 mic. I want to record a live session of my band using my laptop and Ableton Live. Can I use the LINE IN ports on the UX1 to take output from a Peavey PA for vocals and use the SLR input on the UX1 to record the instruments using the PG57 mic? I'm not sure (no pun intended) on how to use the LINE IN ports on the UX1 and what possibilities exist. I'm not expecting to get a superior quality recording, just something I can use for practice sessions when the band is not practicing together. Help?

Thanks, I just ran the installer on the laptop and plugged in the G2 whn requested. It works great, and I can easily switch between pc's by plugging the G2 into the one I want to use at the time.

How do I set up to use the MIDI keyboard built into LIVE with the POD FARM2 Rotary Speaker and Horn MOD?

I installed the Line6 G2 with POD FARM and POD FARM2, along with LIVE for recording. I amd trying to test out the POD FARM "Rotary Speaker and Horn" MOD with a MIDI track in LIVE using the Hammond Organ instrument. All I can hear is the straight Hammond Organ without any effects. How should I be setting this up? I apologize in advance for what may be a newbie-type question. I'm probably just not doing something correctly.

P.S. I can hear effect (including Leslie effect) when I plug in a guitar into the G2, just can't get the MIDI keyboard in LIVE to do the same thing. Also, I don not have a "MIDI" tab in the Line6 AUDIO-MIDI Devices control panel app. Should I?

installing POD FARM on multiple computers

I bought a POD STUDIO GX and installed the software on my desktop PC. Can I also install the software on my laptop and just move the GX back and forth between desktop and laptop to make this stuff portable?
