I've got a JTV 59...anyone fit a tune-o-matic Graph Tec bridge on their 59? I still play my 300 mostly because of the (acoustic) sounds coming from my 59...same question! Anybody!

save your time and effort and buy one from these guys...just got mine (and a coupla 3 foot patch cables) and it's the bomb. I usually have no need for the longer cable myself, so I just bought one (9 ft, I think 11 would have been better for me...at this price I may just buy a few...) from these guys. Cheap.

I highly recommend the HD500/Variax/Stagesource L3 series combo...but, if you just want an amp that will produce excellent acoustic sound (given an acoustic with a pickup, a variax or an acoustic-modelled processed electric guitar) AND a killer electric sound...get an L3t or two. Seems like you could just leave the speaker in full range mode and eq your electric sound (through pedal, or via direct out from your amp) to sound right in that mode. It's so easy with the Variax...but it could be almost as easy without...

Mine have worked perfectly now for some time...with all the same cables and lots of different outlets...hope it keeps up!

L3m won't turn on..."click, click" nothing...after first set..."tah-duh"...it works again. Question: Anyone else have this happen? Anyone know whY?

Hi, so I updated my '59 to JTV firmware V1.81, then decided to go back to version 1.71 for the older acoustic sounds. Do I also need to go back a version or two on the HD500 firmware from 2.2 to lose the extra JTV function settings on the HD? Doesn't seem like I can custum tune from the pedal anymore, but the option is still there? Variax mag setting still there? Tried searching the forum, but i'm going crosseyed in my old age, help an old codger out.

I'd really love to have the functionality and both old and new acoustic tones available...

Anyone using the Stagesource l3t as an amp or small pa with the JTV/HD500 setup? I'm heading that way...soon. I'd love to hear some real world feedback about the sound...

Hey, one simple thing to check it the output setting on the HD500. It's just to the left of the expression pedal...you can set it for either a PA or amp...set it to amp...also, really, a full range speaker is best designed for the acoustic sounds...I gig with the Tyler and an HD500 and don't even use an amp. Don't give up, it really is a dream setup...you just have to make it what you want it to be. You cannot get a more versatile or better sounding guitar. Nope. Can't do it.

Check out the firmware update for the hd500...there are now some really good acoustic presets. helped me a ton. I'd choose acoustic 1 or acoustic 3 for acoustic sounds...also, what are you playing through? It's almost a necessity to design your sounds using the exact speakers/pa you'll use live.
