yes we're all good there... they lock at any rate I chose (with patience)... it might be the processed effects from the x3 are overlapping right in the middle of the stereo field... Im gonna try panning the x3 at @ 1030 & 130 on the clock to see if the phasy mono goes away

Im plugging left stereo out from my synth into the x3 guitar input & right stereo out from synth to the x3 aux input... panning x3 outs left/right stereo using spdif into my alesis io26, that as well has been panned into my monitors. Im hearing phasy mono ish sound. pls tell me where Im going wrong!

I'd plug your keyboards' left output into the Guitar input and set it to line level.

Plug the keyboards' right output into the Aux In.

I believe the switch you used to set the Guitar input to line level does the same to the Aux In.

Set up an effect the same for both inputs (A Side & B side) and turn both effects chains on.

Come to think of it, the way the Pod X3 Live handles USB recording you could probably do a Quad mix to your DAW by some strategic panning.

Heck, if you're just wanting to use it as an IO to your computer, don't use any effect at all.

I traded in my POD X3 Live for an HD500 and miss the fact I can't process the Guitar input seperately from the Aux In or Mic In anymore.

From what I read you're better off than I am...

even though I use a completely different IO for my computer that has FireWire.

When I get the moolah together I'm going to repurchase another Pod X3 Live just for fun like this!

The SPDIF is very conveninent, and the plus is "no analog coloration" into my Alessis io24 converter. But when tapping the button on the HD500 to tune my guitar... most often I have to: go into the system page, bump the sample rate up or down, then back to the original sample rate to make my Alesis "see" the HD500 again. This was the same situation with my X3 Live, so I would imagine it's the Alesis losing digital sync, not the HD500. (heaven forbid!)

I don't know. My friend said it was in the repair dept April 19th. After that I know nothing more. Registering the x3 at line6.com was no problem... like "oh this serial belongs to someone else." But the ebay seller just could tell me which ebay seller they bought it from and no more.

I loved my new pod x3 live. I bought it on Ebay. The Microphone input would only result in digital noise at it highest level, and nothing at any other level. The SPDIF output would just stop broadcasting at very inopportune times. I had a friend who has mod'ed and hotrodded several of my stompboxes very professionally and dependably. He told of his relationship with an area sales manager at line6 that would look into mic/SPDIF problem, but I would have to send it to Line6 in LA to be serviced. Please understand I was fully anticipating costs for this repair, but was told by my friend it would be free. That was about 1 1/2 months ago. My 'friend" has stopped responding to my inquiries. Here is the serial number for my x3 live:

POD X3 Live 21X3L1S5904002981 2/4/10 purchased & registered at www.line6.com

It would've arrived in a Roadrunner pedalboard soft black case with no ac adapter from Nashville TN. Could you help find it please?
