New JTV HD models upgrade and new workbench coming!

Hey guys, did you see this in the news section?

At the upcoming NAMM show, Line 6 will introduce JTV-89F, the newest member of the acclaimed James Tyler® Variax® family. With a Floyd Rose® licensed double-locking tremolo system by Graph Tech and the ability to virtually tune down a whole octave without impacting playability or intonation, the limited-edition JTV-89F is a sonic weapon of epic proportions.

pretty exciting isn't it? new upgraded models and workbench capabilities? I'm eager to learn more about this!

Hi guys,

in case you missed it, a 1.82 update of the firmware was released a few days ago, including a fix on the roominess (highest range of the tone setting gives a no roominess guitar as it emulates the mic' positioned in front of 12th fret)

That's worth giving it a try for tose who were unhappy (and for others)

It also fixes sone alt tunings issues on new acoustic models (but as I did not meet issues I don't know what it was exactly)

I gave it a quick try and indeed at highest tone setting on the guitar the sound is dryer to my ears.

NB. update instructions precise you need to accept the replacement of old models to get the new setting, so save your models before!

Hi Soren,,do you receive emails from them? I don't even receive anything, I have to check on their website to discover the delay !

Which model did you order? I order a JTV59 CSB and it is announced Aug 30, other models to come before (lucky me I made the right color choice, TSB is announced in next days! )

lines are unfortunately obviously visible. Looks like a defective polishing or finish. You should contact support. Your video clearly shows it and should be enough to make them react. You can benefit from warranty and hopefully repair takes shorter than the wait for a new one

Hi All,

just had a message from Thomann, saying some pieces arrived inbetween but for older orders than mine.

I am now number 3 for a JTV69 3TS...the bad side is that they told me next shipment to be received on July 20th, meaning the May shipment in Europe planned by Rich would not touch Thomann, at least for this model?

I think the guitars that arrived were from the April wave, and a next wave was planned in May, then another one in June, according Rich, that is what I am referring to

Worse thing is that I don't know why I ordered "so late" (November) though I followed the guitar from very first day in MArch 1 year ago (was about to buy a 600 and was looking at the demos on the site for a few days when the JTV was announced! I thought I could wait 6 month...who knows if I would have been patient If I had known it would be closer to 15 month )

I know we should expect info from our retailers directly but in this case Thomann is unable to give any info when we contact them

hi zeddd

the factory models still exist if you overwrite the

bank positions, but you canrecall them only with a pod hd500 or a pod x3/xt

so to use a factory setting after you replaced it on the jtv you need to assign the factory model to your sound in the pod (by default the variax model is not forced in pod settings,therofore using the model stored in the guitar)

sorry if i am not clear. Small advice : download poh hd500 edit software (works without pod),create a sound and go to variax settings (one tab for effects, one for amp, one for mixing and variax settings).

play with these settings it will make it all clear!
