You should try it before you buy it... I would never order one. I also think defects are actually the norm.

You can have it modded and add a master volume knob. You can put a volume pedal or even make a volume switch pedal after the M9.

Otherwise put the volume pedal model after the chorus and adjust it to the right volume. You could also use the studio eq and balance it out. This is a bit of a drag because you need to press both on and off, and it hogs 2 slots for 1 model. But it is a workaround.

The Roland VG 55 has about 18-24 models and a much bigger range of + and minus frets (24 up. 24 down.) It will also allow strings to be muted. As well as the guitar models, it also gives access to 2 full independant Roland synths with 900 sounds each, and a full complement of roland effects. So added up, the GR55 gives you 4 independent voices at once plus effects: The 2 synths, the Variax style and the magnetic pickups.

Parker has dumped the Variax gear for the Anteries Autotune...the same as the Peavey guitars.

I just got an M9 and I would want it to have a much larger screen, and let me use all 6 effects at once not just 3...

Just in case they have not thought of it.

I have really only posed a small amount of the hassles I went through...

I will stay away from now on.

Even the M9 needs to go out for an audio upgrade and switch replacement. Fortunately the dealer was dumping all L6 so I got it for $184 new.

I also returned mine after months of trying to get it to play. I am very very relieved to be done with the JTVs... I am going to use Tronical tuners when they start selling them, as I am more interested in alt tunings than the models...

Did I mention how happy I am to be done with the JTVs?

I understand that L & M has taken the L6 importing over from FM Marketing. Now they are the Importer, wholesaler and largest retailer in Canada.

I just bought a brand new M9 from an independant music store for $184. Apparently the small stores are dumping L6 because nobody wants to buy from the "Evil Empire" known as Long and McQuade.

I don't think the M9 sounds as good as it should. I will probably sell it.

I gave up...returned guitar for a refund. Maybe the next time L6 will get the thing right, but the hassles and problems are not worth the bother for me. I have my cash, and no more headaches.
