I recently updated the POD. Is there a list somewhere of what has been changed in the software per update?

I am learning more and more about what I need in terms of recording. I am planning on building a computer. I record directly to the computer via the POD. When I use other VST instruments I am also using the POD as a soundcard. How does the POD fare in mulitple instrument situations? I am a bit lost in this department

Trying to figure out audio dropout issue

I have been losing my mind trying to figure out this issue with audio drop outs. Is this a problem with the HDs? I have a laptop with 2.0ghz dual core processor, 4gb ram 300G hard drive. I have done every tweak imaginable to vista for higher performance. Tried different chords also

I thought I may have solved the audio dropout issue I was having, but it has come back. I could get the audio to dropout without fail when I open Superior Drummer and enter the MIDI grooves menu or when I select a MIDI groove. I have a drum track that utilizes Superior Drummer that doesn't loose audio when I play black the drum samples. I decide to add some MIDI samples to the track, in the grooves library of Superior Drummer, but can't add to the track because the audio drops out.

I am using a POD HD as my soundcard. Reaper says audio device closed when there is a drop out. Any ideas what may be the cause of this?

so in otherwords, yes you can, but I'd just use something like POD Farm Plugin, which is well worth buying.

I am interested in the cabling method, but a bit confused here. I think that the way you are trying to explain this is to record track to DAW. Next I send recorded track to other audio interface, then to POD input then back to re record. Is this correct? Wouldn't this cause latency problems?

POD farm seems the easier choice, but the effects are inferior to that of the HDs.

Is it possible to add effects from the POD after the guitar has been recorded?

Do I need a good soundcard for recording with other plug ins?

I don't know alot about the computer recording process, but the question I have is, can I install a program like superior drummer and use the Pod as my soundcard like I do for the guitar? Do I need to upgrade my computers card?

I owned a X3 prior to the HD and I was mostly happy with the X3. I held onto the X3 until I felt that the HD got me the tone that I desired. Now I can, without looking back, sell the X3!
