Re: DT50 Problems after trying firmware update

I had the exact same issue. I rang Line 6 support and this is what they got me to do to fix it.

-Power the amp off

-Disconnect Midi cables from the amp (and all other cables, so you only have a speaker and power cable connected)

-Hold the Channel selector switch down (towards channel B) then turn the main power switch on (Just leave it in standby)

-Continue holding the channel switch for a good six seconds. (Nothing will happen to indicate that you have held it long enough)

-Then release the channel switch

-Plug the midi cables back in (leave the amp switched on)

-Start Monkey back up

That worked for my DT50

Stack power amp will work the best. I have a similar setup with a 5150 head and that's the setting I use.

I think the Cab options on Ch B for DT50 might be wrong too.

I haven't checked yet, but they don't appear to change. I'll have a look at the file when I get a chance tonight.

I've got all the midi calls out working to make all the settings, that was pretty simple.

Now I just need to layout a decent UI to make it useable and make it logical.

The only downside, I've found... Is there doesn't appear to be a way to query the amp for it's current settings. Which is a pain as I'd like to set the currently selected options on startup of the program.

If anyone has spotted something in the Docs that suggests you should be able to query the amp please let me know.

I'm currently working on a Windows application to control my DT50 head as using TouchOSC is a pain.

I'll post a link to it here when it's ready, hopefully some of you here will be able to get some use out of it.

That worked for my DT50, hopefully the DT25 is the same.

I'm in New Zealand, so I was up at 5am this morning to call Line 6 support in the States.

I'm not looking forwards to seeing what a 45 minute phone call from here to USA is going to cost me when the bill comes in though.

Awesome, talking with Line 6 phone support they managed to help me get the DT50 working and updated!!

remodel_remake, This is what they got me to do, after confirming I was running the newest drivers for my Midi interface, Latest Monkey and had the Midi connectors the right way around.

-Power the amp off

-Disconnect Midi cables from the amp (and all other cables, so you only have a speaker and power cable connected)

-Hold the Channel selector swicth down (towards channel B) then turn the main power switch on (Just leave it in standby)

-Continue holding the channel switch for a good six seconds. (Nothing will happen to indicate that you have held it long enough)

-Then release the channel switch

-Plug the midi cables back in

-Start Monkey back up

At this point monkey detected my amp and I was able to update in the normal way.
