i took the guitar to where i purchased it ( Long & Mcquade Edmonton ) and they sent it off to be repaired, looks like the alt tuning knob is defective. Should have it back in a couple of weeks. Can't wait, being apart from that guitar just verifies how much i love it !!!!!

Also off topic i am strongly considering getting a JTV 89 ,,, just for the hell of it !!!!

First off i just want to say how in love i am with my JTV 59,, it sounds so amazing and feels so much better than any guitar i've ever played. It feels like part of me. Bravo Line6 & James Tyler, it's truley a work of art and I am thankfull

However, while i am playing it will sometimes just go into drop d with out me touching anything. Also, when i engage the alt tuning it will also put the guitar in drop d when i have the alt tuning knob turned to standard. It also remains in drop d if i turn it from standard to drop d,,, also the light on the alt tuning knob does not remain on when i have it engaged so you can't tell if its on or not until you start playing. Anyone else experience problems like this. The guitar engaging drop d without me touching anything seems to be a very "line 6" type of issue, most of the "Pods' i've had would do stuff like that, change patches or turn effects on and off etc. on their own.

Thoughts,, anyone ???

There is a new amp model with the new update not in the POD HD, Line6 Radioaktive is the one i'm refering to. Has anyone had a chance to play around with it and let us in on what type of sound and vibe it has ?? Anyone from Line 6 care to chime in on what amps inspired it ? I won't have a chance to update my DT50 too soon. Just very curious

I had never played a JTV 59 but broke down finally and ordered one from my local music store as none of the reatailers in my area would carry one. I read the reveiws and checked lots of forums noticed some people saying the neck was "a bit" thick, but you get used to it. Mine finally arrived today, i have to say i think its more than a bit thick. Its more like a baseball bat. I don't think any amount of playing will get me to like the neck on it. I would have tried the JTV 89 but I can't play guitars like that due to where the volume knob is located, it gets in the way of my picking hand and i turn the volume off while i'm playing. Soooooooooooooo i hopefully can return it and won't get dinged too bad on restocking. I really i mean REALLY wanted this to be the guitar of my dreams. I am variax 300 owner, and own a Vetta ll head,, DT50 half stack,,, and have had every POD since 2.0.

Very dissapointed in Canada

Hello everyone !!!!!

Well after having my JTV-59 for a few weeks now i have to say i love it. The neck is a bit thicker than i would normaly like but, it came the action REALLY high and the strings were a bit heavy for me. I guess that just had me recoiling in horror. Lowered the action quite a bit, put on some lighter strings ( 9-46 ) and it is now playing like a dream. I do actually really like the neck now, i find i can really shred on it, and i can REALLY dig in on bends. Also when playing it strapped on while standing up the guitar feels amazing. Very well balanced and it just feels like part of you. All the models and sounds are of course AMAZING. I will probably at some point get the lacquer stripped from the back of the neck as i love the feeling of raw wood, and it just makes the guitar feel faster and more playable too. I have done that to other guitars i own with great results. I will wait a while to do that as i know it will void my warranty.

I do have a concern though, on the ALT Tuning knob, when i first turn the knob to "model" it switches to "Drop D", it stays in Drop D once i turn the knob to Drop D as well. This doesn't seem right to me. Is it a glitch that i need to have fixed ?

Hello all,,, I'm currently playing a POD HD500 with a DT50 head and matching 4x12 and LOVING IT !!!!!! I was thinking about getting the DT25 head for practice at home. Could they be daisy chained with the line6 link ???
