OK, I admit it, I'm stupider than I thought. Your answer looked simple enough, until I tried to apply it. A bunch of questions. When you say to put all the processing in Channel A, what does this mean and how do you do it? Does this mean panning everything in one direction, or does it mean "moving" the amp up, as you would to set up a two amp setup? Assuming the latter to be the case, how do I mute the channels in the mixer? Also, do all effects have to be ahead of the effects loop, and where should the amp be in all this? When I tested it out, the Master dial didnt work. Is that normal? I know this is asking a lot, but can anyone post a screen shot of the signal chain for a distorted patch so I can see how it's set up for this type of set up. Much thanks. Jeff

Greetings. I have the HD 500/JTV combo. I have always been an "amp guy" and have avoided going directly into the mixer for live performance. However, the acoustic models sound much better directly into the board via xlr, but the when I use a distorted patch on the HD 500, along with a solid body model, it sounds like hell, directly into the board. Is there a way to route the output signal, according to patch? In other words when I kick in an acoustic patch on the HD, to make it send out of the XLR to the Board (and not via 1/4 to the amp), and in other patches, use the 1/4 inch output to the amp (and not via xlr to the Board)?

One of my favorite things about owning a Variax is the ability to learn songs I never could have before, due to alt tunings. Try this one on 12 string in Open C, CGCGCE; Question by the Moody Blues. Your ears wont be able to tell the difference between the JTV and a 12 string.

Having a problem with JTV shut off. My setup is JTV69/HD500. At times, after I edit patches manually and I switch to another patch, the Variax shuts off; no lights on guitar, no sound at all. No response when I change from patch to patch on the HD500. The only thing that gets me out of this is by unplugging the VDI cable and pluggin it back in. I dont know if this means anything, but I dont use the battery at all, as I always plug in via the VDI.

HD50/JTV69 issue

Greetings. I just got the HD 50/JTV69 combo and I'm having an issue with forced Variax settings. I set my pedal up to control the Vax on a patch by patch basis, and I "store" the tunings on the pedal. All was working fine for a few days, and all of a sudden, all of my Variax settings on the pedal were gone and when I look into the patches, all of a sudden it says "dont force". Took me forever to get these settings set up. Any idea what causes this? I havent had my battery in the guitar, as I use the VDI cable. Could this be it? Thanks!

Greetings. I used Riffworks quite a bit, but the computer that it was on is close to dead. Is there any way to re-download it onto another computer, or to get the files from the old computer to put on the new?

Line 6 Edit Software Freeze

Greetings. It has been a while ( a year or so) since I launched my Line 6 Edit version 3.0, build 96 software. My laptop is an HP with 1 gb ram, 2.0 ghz Turion, Vista Home Premium, SP 2 I use a POD XT Live with a Variax. When I went to launch the software, it froze at "Configuring Editor". I tried rebooting, reconnecting, and all of the usual tricks. How do I fix this? In the alternative, is there any newer Line 6 software that does the same thing? Thanks.
