Immediately back up your amp settings on a computer with midi - then do a hard reset of the amp. Then reload your presets via midi and test the amp again. Keep it on for several hours and try it over and over to try and duplicate the issue. If it persists - you need service. In not - you got lucky. I always bring a backup rig just in case when I use the Ax2 live.

You lose all of you presets - but this is the first thing you should always try when these amps go screwy. And you should be bakcing your stuff up using midi anyway. If that doesn't work - then It needs to be serviced. Take to a Line 6 service center. I had one do this that was unrepairable according to the service center. They didn't charge me and they pretty much tried everything. I have it in my garage fo parts in case my other AX212 goes bad. Good Luck.

M9 Audio Level Drop when using Mod effects...

So I have the latest firmware and generally I think the M9 sounds great - using it in the effects loop of my amp for mostly delays, reverbs and some mod effects. BUT - there are certain effects that decrease my volume even when the mix knob is all the way up. In particular the Leslie effects, tremolos and some of the weirder Tron and synthy stuff. Almost every one of them gives me a volume decrease when engaged. This does not happen with the chorus, delays, or even the phasers/flangers. Any ideas here on how to keep my volume level consistent? I have 2 different amps that I use and this issue is persistent on each of them. is it an order thing? Usually I set the delays and verbs last in the chain - with the modulated stuff before them.

Re: How to improve overdrive/distortion tones

I think the overdrives and distortions are pretty weak, thin sounding and just plain harsh and not musical in the M13 compared to the real thing. I have a lot of the actual overdrives and comp pedals modeled and there is really no comparison. They seem to really thin out the guitar tone where the original pedal will not and have this very digital frequency that I can't dial out. My solution has been to bypass them (comps/overdrives/distortions) entirely and use the real pedals I like in front of the M13 and then have the verbs and delays and other fun stuff go through my amps effects loop using 4CM. The M13's biggest problem IMHO is the crappy sounding drive section. They could really improve it.
