POD X3L - Can't connect to Mac

Hi,

Appreciate any help/advice on this. I'm running a Mac OS 10.5, I've downloaded the latest Pod drive 7.1.4. I've tried to setup the X3 in the system preferences->MIDI setup. The X3L can be selected as an input device but i am not able to adjust the sound levels. There is no recording signal when I try to record with garageband. I've already set X3L as the input device under garageband's preferences.

What is wrong and how can i get this to work?

Quick Question: Pod X3L fender amp drive

just a quick question from a Pod X3L newbie...how does one get the fender type amp to overdrive? i have my settings at 100% drive...little or no overdrive sound. Is that normal or is something a miss?

I'm using a strat and HH Jag, I've already set the input to guitar. I'm going to use the X3L straight into the PA mixer but at the moment I'm just trying to tweak the sounds at home with a crappy solid state amp
