      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:61bf58e7-6fce-4392-86ae-8a8d25efb878] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I think the pods have some power supply issues when starting up after an update or rebooting.&amp;#160; I would recommend to all who are having issues whether you have a variax or not to remove all connections other than the power supply when you turn the unit on after an update.&amp;#160; This goes for even an update of hd edit or a driver.&amp;#160; Set the ground/lift to ground and unplug anything that could possibly take power away from the unit like headphones or any guitar.&amp;#160; Then start up the unit by adding the power cord.&amp;#160; The reboot will take a couple of seconds and you should be good to go.&amp;#160; If this solves the problem, I would highly recommend that Line 6 put either on the download page on their website or as a final message when you perform the updates that if you have problems when starting up the unit afterwards that you remove all connections and then start it up again.&amp;#160; After that initial startup after the update, it should not need the "disconnect everything when you start it up again" treatment.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:61bf58e7-6fce-4392-86ae-8a8d25efb878] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:c9ae9742-ad5b-4078-bc0b-d3e658f4bf28] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yes.&amp;#160; Everything works great on both.&amp;#160; I think there are some power supply issues with the pods when it comes to rebooting.&amp;#160; I think they must need all available power to reboot when there is a flash memory update or driver update.&amp;#160; I never downloaded any updates for the X3 live other than a variax workbench update and maybe a driver.&amp;#160; If anyone is having a similar problem starting up the unit even if they don't have a Variax I would recommend removing any and all connections to the pod except the power cord when you try starting it up for the first time after an update.&amp;#160; Maybe even put the ground/lift switch to ground and even make sure there are no headphones or guitars attached.&amp;#160; Any of those things could sap power away from the unit.&amp;#160; As soon as the unit starts up which takes seconds, you can reattach everything and should be good to go as I was.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:c9ae9742-ad5b-4078-bc0b-d3e658f4bf28] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:b088085a-cc66-4d85-a4c8-216348f4c90e] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I just figured it out.&amp;#160; I have a Variax 500 and throughout this whole ordeal I have had it hooked up to my pod hd500 with a VDI cable.&amp;#160; I never imagined that could be an issue.&amp;#160; After putting my pod hd500 back in the box and putting it in my car thinking I would have to return it, I hooked my variax with VDI cable up to my old pod x3 live.&amp;#160; Unbelievably the same thing happened that had never happened before--nothing buy a flashing line 6 logo.&amp;#160; Now I'm really frustrated (I'm keeping this G rated).&amp;#160; I don't know how I thought of it, but I thought to unhook by variax and everything worked perfectly.&amp;#160; I got my pod hd500 out of my car and out of the box and tried starting it up without the variax hooked up and everything worked perfectly including hd edit software on my computer.&amp;#160; I think you have to unhook the variax before starting up the pod hd500 after you perform an update.&amp;#160; The variax works great with the hd now.&amp;#160; I don't know if this is what the edge and others are experiencing, but hopefully this helps others.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:b088085a-cc66-4d85-a4c8-216348f4c90e] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:e9036782-c0f8-4cf7-8a0d-4bc6bf483e1b] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I got a POD HD500 for Xmas.&amp;#160; It has been working gloriously and I was very happy until I just downloaded and installed the latest (1/6/11) updates for flash memory and the pod hd edit software.&amp;#160; After doing the updates, everything was working fine, so I shut everything off.&amp;#160; Now a few days later I tried turning the pod hd500 on, and all that happens is line 6 logo followed by a black screen flashing on the screen of the podhd500 every five seconds and the the logo again.&amp;#160; This goes on over and over again.&amp;#160; I tried running line 6 monkey and it does not even recognize that the pod hd is connected even though it is connected via the same USB cable that was working fine and came with the unit.&amp;#160; Line 6 Monkey says I have not installed the latest 4.1.1.7 driver, but I did.&amp;#160; I tried reinstalling the newest driver twice to no avail.&amp;#160; The only thing that I have tried that has broken the logo/black screen pattern was holding down the left arrow on the pad to the right of the screen between "enter" and "move."&amp;#160; I read on your forums to try that, and then a message saying "update flash" came on but nothing happened.&amp;#160; While it still said update flash, I opened up line 6 monkey and it showed for the first time that it was recognizing the pod hd500 as connected and verified that I had all the most recent updates including the driver.&amp;#160; I tried to reinstall the flash memory 1.2 through the line 6 monkey.&amp;#160; It said it resinstalled, and now I still have the logo/black screen of death cycling again and I can't even get the "update flash" message to come on when I hold down the left arrow at startup.&amp;#160; Can anyone offer any help or is this the death of my brand new pod hd500 that sounded awesome just two days ago?&amp;#160; Is this something I simply have to return the unit to Line 6.&amp;#160; I have an X3Live and had to go through the whole return to get the USB replaced because of dropout issues.&amp;#160; I really don't want to go through this again.&amp;#160; Thanks in advance for any help.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:e9036782-c0f8-4cf7-8a0d-4bc6bf483e1b] --&gt;</description>
