But, you might want to try out the amp without the HD500... After I did this, I tossed the HD500 in a closet and brought out my old pedalboard - much better! IMO, YMMV, etc.

I'm pretty sure that the guitar is one of his Suhrs. I've never seen him use a JTV on LFDH.

I think it depends on what episode you're watching. On later ones I'm pretty sure I've spotted an HD - but it's hard to tell, so I could certainly be wrong.

He's Paul Pesco. He also uses two DT50 amps.

It's just a regular AC extension cord.

Even when using L6 Link you need to plug in the power supply to the HD500. So, you'll have at least two cables going to the HD500 - there's no way around it. I just use small velcro strips and make a "snake" out of the L6 Link cable and power supply cable (plus I use an extension cord on the power supply cable, so that gets velcroed [if that's a word] to the L6 Link cable too). I've been doing it this way at gigs and at home for over a year and it really isn't a problem.

BTW, I recommend using an AES/EBU cable (instead of an XLR cable) as your L6 Link cable.

As an alternative to the Ernie Ball casters, IMHO these are the shiznit (I've used 'em for years on my Vetta amp and extension cab): http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/43tracremcas.html

Pricey ($79) but they are easily removable.

One of the descriptions of the MF350 that I read states "The amp also boasts a Parallel/Series Effects Loop, with each pre-amp having its own FX Mix control. When either of these FX Mix controls is turned up full, the loop converts to Series operation." So the obvious question is: Do you have the FX MX Mix controls "turned up full" so that you are running with a series (not parallel) FX loop?

Try using the PRE version - that's what worked best for me.
