Jim, as always your info suits and is spot on. Thank you for all that you've helped me with during my year and 1/2 with this unit. it has been fun. alas, I have sold the HD and gone back to all analog for now. Perphaps the next version will be the deal for me, this was not, although you did help a great deal in making it shine as much as it could for me. Great unit, great forum and info. back to the drawing board I go

resetting the expression pedal?

seems the pedal has stopped working. i choose a wah or volume pedal, set the EXP 1 as the controller in menu with the appropriate stomp for on/off and these is no control. when i chose a wah, the tone is stuck somewhere in the middle, honky mids, so i know the effect is working, just not the exp pedal....

is there a way to reset this thing?

nah, selling for an Echorec, Dirty Little Secret and Tone bender. I'll send my Tremolo to Keeley. I love the HD for what it can do but the killing of harmonic fullness is not good. Maybe the next version will nail it. I think the product is great for many things, just can't aford to have unused stuff and I've put so much into my amp, I need it to respond like it should. if I were a metal player I think I'd keep it

I use the Combo Power amp with 4CM. no it;s not awful, it's way better without it, so much so that it really don;t want to use it, but the effects are so plentiful and handy.

In theory it may not effect the tone, but certainly it does, in my opinion. perhaps it's just the long struggle between eq and levels but I get more rich, harmonic punch when not using the HD500 than plugging directly into my amp. too bad because i've gotten used to the distortion models and i really like the delays but the sucker sucks my tone. enought to where I may be finished with the unit, opting to get some Caitlinbread pres instead or additional MTS modules. or even just get one nice delay and call it......

it is useful to go to practice with only the HD and plufg into an amp FXloop there......oh well.

I suppose I should know this but I remember reading that if you turn off trails, then it's in TB....true? sure would be nice

ebay, look for Randall RM50 or RM100. these are excellent and go for a fraction of what they used to cost. You can also spend your money on full analog preamps that blast the hell out of the L6 and still have many more amps with thte L6 on hand. go now
