I have a personal DAW system made by ADK. When they installed everythign I was originally usiing the Tone Port UX1 w/ Gear Box. After I received the system back I had the new Pod Farm GUI...AWESOME. The only crappy thing is not all the effects, amps, pedals, etc. work. It says something like I dont have permission or system doesnt support this equipemnt (dont really remember). All in all the thing is sick and blows a normal mic'd amp away. I'm just wondering does this free POD Farm offer fix or make those effects, amps, etc. that wont work right now, work? If not how do I go about downloading something that will make it all work. I dont want to be limited in what I click on.

FYI I liked the way Gear Box made the online user generated setups available. I'm not seeing that in the POD Farm GUI.

When Gearbox or POD Farm open up in Appleton Live 8, I don't get any sound. Is it not activated yet? It says "To activate click here" in the Gearbox plugin display but not in POD Farm. When running Gearbox or POD Farm without Appleton Live 8 sound from my guitars works perfectly. I restarted my computer, checked my sound settings and still no sound in either. Any ideas on whats wrong?

You just need Monkey for activation - that has NOTHING to do with launching POD Farm plugin. The 'POD Farm' listed in the 'Optional Add-Ons' tabs IS referring to POD Farm plugin, though it doesn't acutally say plugin. Nor does it really work WITH GearBox, except that you can load tones from GearBox in POD Farm and visa versa. The plugin is actually used in recording software such as Live, ProTools, Cubase, etc. Take a look at the following links for more:

POD Farm Standalone vs Plugin

http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-1503

The next two are specific to the DAW software being used, but they will give you a clearer idea about the plugin:

SONAR:

http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-1489

Live:

http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-1396

If it's [-], even better because you'll see the POD Farm (Plug-In) component below it. Click on that. Click "Activate Purchase". Type the word 'refresh' (minus the quotes I just typed).
