I have an idea for wireless in-ear's that no one is doing yet. It's a simple modification but it would be revolutionary...would love to team up with Line 6 to make it happen!

And here's another vote for Line 6 IEM !!

Playing guitar without cable certainly looks cool, but it's nothing compared to feedback issues when using wedge monitoring !

I thought the major part of the work was done with the Relay technology...And a real great thing with the digital tech (vs HF) is that it works worlwide...

Come on, Line 6 staff !

Digital Wireles IEM's are here, but there expensive! http://www.lectrosonics.com/Wireless-Monitors/quadra.html It would be nice if line 6 or another company could drop the price drastically.

I'll add my post because I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE a L6 wireless unit. And I wouldn't need it to be anything fancy either, just a simple, reversed G50 system type deal. PLEASE!!!! Thanks!

I have put off buying the Carvin system because I know a Line 6 IEM will be very good. My Relay wireless system is brilliant.....here's another vote for an IEM from Line 6!!!!!

Until last year, E-MU made the Pipeline digital transceiver system: each unit could either send or receive, 48kHz digital (an SPDIF input), both ends battery (rechargeable) powered or wall wart. Down side was range and bulk, and headphone volume (using Ultimate Ear UE7's) could be louder. With regular headphones, like AKG-240S, it needed more umph. Maybe that's a limitation on amplifier power with a battery powered device.

I tried them out but by the time I decided maybe we should outfit the band, the product was discontinued. Since it allowed for a broadcast mode, you needed one unit as a transmitter, and one receive for each set of in-ears / or even regular floor monitors.

This would seem to be a natural Relay type product. Given my total happiness with my Relay guitar system, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

The prospect IEM Technology from Line 6 literally has me drooling... I am and have been such a fan for many years now of Line 6 product - the newer wireless technology in the G series is spectacular...

I have been using Shure IEM systems for many years... and the are solid... but if Line 6 could bring the digital wireless IEM system to market in a cost effective manner - such as they ahve with the G series - it would be a game - changer!!!

One suggestion - partner with a great company like sensaphonics.com for buds... after trying many - they are the BEST on the market IMHO!

Steve and All -

A lot of us who have used Line 6 or X2 wireless as their first wireless product (and spoiled rotten) REFUSE to go backwards to non-digital wireless for in-ears. We are waiting. We will sing your praises. We understand the cost and are ready. I'm patiently waiting - running a wired set up now. Can't wait to cut the cord with a Line 6 wireless. I'm saving a space in my rack to go along with the POD HD Pro and the Relay G90.

And please let us plug a lavalier into the belt pack for ambient room noise too - just to be greedy.

Patiently waiting.... refuse to buy another wireless In Ear system till it's as plug and play as the Relay/X2 wireless.

Your instrument wireless systems have the sound of systems 4x the price. Clear, dependable signal.

That's exactly what I'd want in an IEM. Clear, dependable signal.

I've heard that a lot of what makes the price of an IEM go up has to do with the amount of "noise" experienced by the user. Yeah, it's more technical than that, whatever. None-the-less, an IEM with clear, dependable signal, and user reviews indicating a comparable noise-level to the sennheiser and shure units everyone wants, but can't afford at a price point similar to your instrument wirelesses - I'd be sold - or rather, your unit would be sold to me, indeed.

Also, I'd make sure there's an option for stereo inputs at least one one of the models.

I say there must be some holdup. Patents, maybe? I dunno.

You guys tore into the wireless instrument market like it was nothing. There's no "inventing" to do. You just have to figure out how to make an IEM that does what everyone elses' does at a price point that pisses shure's shareholders off, royally.

I'd be tremendously surpised if you guys stumbled across whatever "manufacturing magic" that allowed you to drop the price-point of the instrument wirelesses, and didn't start working on IEM's till now. That doesn't sound like the strategy of a company w/ Line 6-like status.

Naturally, when you respond so vaguely without mentioning that you risk your job if you tell us the info we seek, it tends to rattle those of us who stand to spend $1500 for PSM 900's if you don't "invent" something soon.
