does the controller change the channels when plugged in?

yes

if i'm on the 3rd channel which I think is called Metal if I click the D on the pedal will it bring me to the 4th channel Insane?

Can you like customize which letter goes with what channel

Hi Line 6!

I have used the Spider III series in the past at my band's place and loved all the features like saving channels.

My question is, If I get a Spider IV 15 Watt amp and FBV MkII Express controller, does the controller change the channels when plugged in?

What I mean is, if i'm on the 3rd channel which I think is called Metal if I click the D on the pedal will it bring me to the 4th channel Insane?

Can you like customize which letter goes with what channel or is channel switching not how this thing works?
