I am considering the purchase of a POD XT to replace an old Alesis Quadraverb that I've used for several years with my pedal steel guitar. I'm doing this for reasons of compactness of the unit so that I can easily carry it on an airplane without the need for a rack mount box and all the hassle that goes with checking such as luggage.

It seems POD XT is geared to guitar. I see no amplifier or speaker combo's that are familiar to pedal steel except maybe Fender Twin.......no Peavey Session 400, no Peavey 112, no Webb............none of the standard kinds of amps used by steel guitar players. I assume the market simply isn't large enough for this or these amps are too difficult to model...........same comment goes for the speaker cabinets I assume.

So, I am trying to hook up with some pedal stee players who actually use the POD XT for their effects unit to get a sense of satisfaction with the unit as well as possibly learn about some of the settings actually being used that work well for pedal steel guitar.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
