I asked tech support about this kit and they said the kit doesn't exist.

The guy talked to one of the repair techs and he said he just shoots a couple quick blasts of wd-40

on the hinge inside the pedal. I didn't have any WD-40 (we don't really like the stuff anyway) so I use a drop of 3 in one

oil on each end of the hinge. There is a little teflon washer on each end of the pivot shaft. I just put the drops on those washers.

I worked the pedal back a forth until the oil seeped in. All good now.

Note: to take the back off remove all the screws on the bottom except the four right in the middle.

They just hold some brackets inside and the brackets will off into the unit if you take them out.

Also there are two small screws on the top corners of the back of the unit that also have to be removed.

Once all the those screws ar removed you have to jiggle the base sideways a bit to get it out.

the pedal fix is covered even if your xtl is out of warranty. contact a service center. they'll probably send you one.

I have seen mentioned in these forums that there exists a repair kit for sticky or squeaky pedals on the POD XTlive. My unit is outside the warrantee, and I am capable of repairing it (I already have it torn down). Can I get one of these kits?
