Be sure to configure the Pod's output for a combo amp (or guitar power amp), not direct out. The AX sounds like it has 12" guitar speakers because it has 12" guitar speakers.

Hi all - thanks in advance.

Headphones out from the HD500 - sounds amazing, as advertised. Unbalanced out in stereo Y to the AUX in on AX2 and the warmth and clarity are completely lost. Have tried adjusting AUX EQ on AX2 and both of the 1/4 out switch settings (line/amp) on HD500 but nothing gets the sound through AX2 even close to the quality heard straight out of the HD500 with only mid-range quality headphones. Nothing plugged into the direct out on back of AX2 so it shouldn't be the cab simulator.

Should I be right to conclude that this is just a limitation of the AX2 & it's not suitable for amplifying the HD500?
