Why, my favorite company Line 6 doing this???? I saw - a many - many peoples have the same problem.

Why Line 6 not tested POD 500, why they produce a defective devices? It's not good advertisement, not good reclame for company.

I'm not sure this can be of any help, but I'll write this anyways.

I own a POD HD desktop and I've had the same problem. I've bought it from U.S. and once it arrived here in EU I've noticed the typical US PSU. I haven't find any specific information on manuals and on the POD HD web page so I've got a PX-2g PSU. It worked perfectly for something like 2-3 weeks, till one day the pod didn't turn on at all. Got Another PX-2g and it worked fine for 2 days, and then it got rows at the display like craudio's pictures. After searching through the forum and testing ( better not asking how) with the stock PSU it worked fine so here's Why.

New POD HD units are working ONLY WITH 9V DC 3A Power units. The classic PX-2g unit that worked fine for most of POD units and others is an AC Power unit so it's not fine with HD products.

I know that maybe this isn't the problem you've had, but maybe someone else had this problem and I wish that line6 pointed this out CLEAR in the site and in the manual, and not just on the DC-3g web page ( POD HD PSU). On top of that the stock PSU has a Voltage range that goes from 100V to 240V, Anyone here correct me if I'm wrong, as this is what it seems reading the DC-3g page, and in fact i've used the unit succesfully here.

I've been trying to find the suggestion page to send line6 a couple advices, but I can't find it anymore. Let me point out that I'm not unhappy with Line6 as I own a POD X3, POD HD and a UX2 with Podfarm 2 Full. I just wanted to give some ( I hope) useful suggestion.

I hope everything I've written is correct, and if this is the case I hope this can be useful to anyone.

JD
