Restart the computer.

Upon restarting the computer do not connect your TonePort UX1 yet.

Make sure that you have the most recent version of the Line 6 drivers and Monkey installed as well:

 MAC Drivers : 7.0.9

 http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=4170

 Line 6 Monkey 1.41:

 http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4115

After successfully installing Line 6 Monkey and the drivers please try removing any additional unnecessary USB and firmware devices from your computer when troubleshooting this issue. Make sure to connect it directly to a USB port and not a USB hub, extension, or keyboard of any kind, preferably connect it to a USB port on the rear of computer. Try using additional USB cables and every USB port available.

Launch Line 6 Monkey using every USB port available until Monkey can detect your UX1, and then apply any updates that are available.

This is most likely a driver issue, Here are some troubleshooting steps to follow. Perform them in the order listed. Assuming that Lion supports TonePort, I would first simply unplug the unit from USB and then plug it back in. That may fix it outright; or it may prompt you for a driver which you can then point it to or install. Lion may not have found the driver when you upgraded. Do you even have the latest drivers installed? Lion is a new OS amd will need the latest drivers. If you have older drivers that don't support Lion, then Lion would not recognise them and and therefore not see the hardware. Run the Line 6 Monkey to see if everything is up to date. If the Monkey itself needs updating it will tell you when you run it and let you update it. Also, run the Line 6 License Manager (if you have it) to make sure that your licenses are showing up. If you have old drivers with no License Manager then that could be your problem right there. So run the Monkey and it will check all of that and let you update anything that needs updating. If none of that works, use the Line 6 uninstaller to remove everything cleanly, reboot the computer, and reinstall the softtware. Be sure to follow all prompts exactly, such as when to unplug the USB and then when plug the USB back in. This is important. That -should- take care of it as long as Lion is supported and your hardware is good.
