In addition, you do not have to run the POD X3 at 100% channel and master, that was just a suggestion as a starting point to ensure a strong clean signal.

Try either line or amp to see which sound best in your rig.

 If you would like to use the POD X3 Live for FX only and your amp for its tone, then I would suggest to not use any amp or cab model and only fx in combination with the stack power amp output mode. You will then connect your guitar directly to the input on your amp, then connect the FX loop send to the input on the POD X3 Live, and finally connect the left mono output of the X3 Live to the FX return on the amp. Try either line or amp to see which sound best in your rig.

 Run the POD X3 Live at full channel and master volume to ensure no loss of signal.

Hello, I am running a Pod X3 Live and having some tonal and feedback issues. I am also unsure about how to properly setup some of my settings with my particular rig. Below is my general signal flow.

Guitar---->Pod X3 Live (preamp & fx only)---->Mesa Tube Power Amplifier---->4x12 Cabinet

*I'm unsure of which output mode is better to run with this setup?

*Do I run the live out level on amp or line?

*Also, I use the Pod only as a digital preamp and fx before my poweramp, so do I need to turn off cabinet modeling when running this setup?

Because when I do the tone sounds okay, yet very fizzy and un-natural,

but when I have a cab model selected with output mode set to "stack poweramp" it sounds kind of okay, but feeds back quite a bit without the master output being too loud, even when heavily gated with mid-gain tone.

If anything I mainly want to know how to properly dial in the settings for this particular setup.

Please help!

-Thanks
