It can send the CC via midi out port for the control you are operating on the unit. It is designed to be externally controlled but is not programable to send a required midi message. You need a separate controller to program CC midi messages to operate both the M9 and amp. I used a Midi CPU from Highly liquid http://www.highlyliquid.com. It is a circuit board component and requires takes a bit of work to set up. you can check out WOBO stuff http://www.woboge.com.

I imagine that it's set up so that each module is selected by a certain MIDI PC message. The M13 sends MIDI PC messages when you bring up a scene. So it's just a matter of seeing if the two coordinate in a way that you'd want.

It's very, very limited as a MIDI controller. It does send MIDI PC messages when you select a scene, so some people have been able to incorporate that functionality in controlling an amp. The PC messages the M13 sends are the same ones that it reacts when being controlled by a MIDI controller. These are all spelled out in the Advanced Guide. As far getting the amp to react to these that's more of an issue of looking in the amp's documentation than the M13's

Too bad line 6 doesn't tell you things like "it's not meant to be a midi foot controller"It is an important question i've just never gotten a decient answer from any "expert users",spending 500 dollars for something that doesn't work(for me anyways) especially IF 600 people are out there wanting to know the same thing.Seems to me someone should have answered the question before now.

This seems like a very odd statement to me. If Line 6 ever implied that the M13 was meant to be a MIDI controller, that would be one thing, but they don't. You were just seem to be assuming that it would when you bought it for some reason.
